My area of exploration and research is focused on visual attention and how it is guided and manipulated by both our goals, and our external environment.
I began my academic journey at UQ by completing my bachelors in Psychological Science with first class honours, with my thesis focusing on an effect within attentional guidance akin to the domain of memory’s Eureka effect. While I still haven’t been able (even now) to have this effect borne out in data, it’s still something I wish to show!
In 2025, I began my PhD under Associate Professor Stefanie Becker at UQ’s School of Psychology. With Stefanie’s tutelage and guidance, I became interested in the relational account of attention, which seeks to explain why our current understanding of top-down attentional guidance does not appear to follow feature-specific search exclusively.
In my personal life I enjoy video games, photography, and have a personal (non-academic) interest in religious studies.
